Raised in Gold Hill Colorado, Dustin first found his passion for tree work at age 8 while working with his father (Rick) cutting firewood and removing beetle kill pine. His love of trees landed him doing tree work with a trail crew in the White River National Forest near Eagle Colorado. Just as any future leader would need mentoring Dustin moved back to the front range to apprentice under James Melton at Magnolia Tree Service. James inspired and trained Dustin to become a skilled tree climber leading him to compete in many tree climbing competitions in the Rocky Mountain region. Of course other opportunities come along as his talent was realized and Dustin then teamed up with Berkelhammer Tree Experts. Working closely with Fred Berkelhammer for over 10 years he decided it was time to strike out on his own. With Fred’s blessing of course, Dustin set out to own and operate his own tree service. He lives in the Boulder area with wife Krista and daughter Maisie. When he’s not in a tree or chatting with clients you’ll find him on the golf course, skiing, fishing or surfing with his friends and family.
